The Boeing Center in India is looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support a variety of aerospace programs. Specific responsibilities of this position include:
Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Engineering Program Capability Teams to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
This position will work with cross-functional teams supporting work packages will support Boeing’s Defense and Commercial work on both fixed-wing and rotorcraft platforms Relevant experience associated to following technical competencies is highly desired:
General knowledge of aerospace assembly and production processes including manufacturing capabilities (structural) and data needed for defining configuration
Supply chain familiarity including industry processes, policies and procedures, products, requirements, capabilities, practices, support resources, preferences, constraints, etc.
Broad knowledge of producibility and process improvement methodologies (e.g., statistical process control, hardware variability control, Six Sigma). Able to assist in creating process improvement and testing methodology
General knowledge and ability in examining operations and procedures, formulating policies, and developing and implementing lean strategies and procedures.
Experience and knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems)
Experience creating and maintaining product structure, bill of materials, and assembly work instructions
Develops and maintains technical relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and team members to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.
Provide technical oversight of junior employees and suppliers, and lead process improvements. Motivates, develop and mentor junior employees to achieve excellent technical and business outcomes.
Provides periodic updates to Boeing management in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents. Coordinate and communicate regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world. Support initiatives on engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, and customer engagement
This position will require some travel within India and internationally.
Skill Required
Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners.
Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
Communication – strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations (e.g., ROI). Candidate must be fluent in English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
Candidate should be conversant with Assembly Processes, Customer Supplier Knowledge, Design / Produce Processes, Engineering Process Improvement Method, Manufacturing Methods, Product Structure, Operational Analysis.
Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.

Qualifications
Qualification:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Must be very fluent in spoken and written English, and have excellent communication style.
