Atomic cell with Animation to detect sodium

Atomic cell with Animation to detect sodium

The animation is quite self explanatory and can be easily understood.

The sample to be tested for presence of sodium is inserted in one end of the atomic cell. This sample is broken in to atoms within the atomic cell and subjected to heat. The evaporation of sodium blocks the passage of light from light source. This creates a delta for the detector and the presence can thus be calculated. This one of the simplest way to detect presence of Sodium in any sample.
